The Community Safety Officer introduced the report and advised that there were no amendments to the locality or conditions of the order proposed.  In addition, all relevant partners had been consulted and supported the renewal.

The Community Safety Officer responded to members’ questions including on the police data currently available and confirming that although there was no requirement to extend the area of the order currently, this would be re-considered if there is any change at the time of renewal in in 2029.

RESOLVED:

1.                 That the Public Spaces Protection Order be extended for a further three years to 14 September 2029; and

2.                 That the Strategic Director, be authorised to carry out statutory publication and notification requirements for the extended order.
