The joint committee represents the future
unitary council and includes councillors from the current councils
in that area.
The joint committee will oversee the early
stages of the reorganisation programme and is responsible for:
- Planning the transition.
- Agreeing how the programme will be
managed.
- Overseeing the teams delivering the
work.
- Monitoring progress and keeping
preparations on track.
It will continue in this role until
responsibility passes to the shadow council in May 2027.
On this page, you will find the agendas and
reports for each of the joint committee meetings.
