Appointments Panel

Purpose of committee

The Appointments Panel is established in accordance with the Councils Constitution, Part 4.8 - Officer Employment Procedure Rules. The purpose of the Appointments Panel is:

 

1.    Before an offer of appointment is made to the Head of Paid Service, Council will be required to approve the appointment following the recommendation of the Appointments Panel.

 

2.    The Appointments Panel will appoint Directors.

 

The membership of the Appointments Panel will be comprised of Leader, Deputy Leader, Leader of the Opposition and Deputy Leader of the Opposition as well as member of the Audit & Governance Committee.
