Public Participation To receive and note questions asked and statements made from members of the public on issues relating to the responsibility of this Committee.
Minutes:
Ian Tait spoke during public participation as summarised briefly below. Mr Tait raised concerns that taxi drivers were unable to leave their vehicle for a short period of time whilst on a taxi rank without running the risk of incurring a penalty notice. He suggested the issue had arisen since the County Council had taken over responsibility for on-street parking enforcement. He asked that, if members thought appropriate, the committee investigate these concerns further.
Councillor Laming agreed to discuss the issues raised with the Licensing Manager and that a response would be provided to Mr Tait directly.
